When a Plan Covers Fewer Profiles
What a read-only patient profile is, what you can still do with it, and how to bring it back.

Everything is still here. Every record, every question you have asked, every report, for every person on your account. Nothing was deleted and nothing is hidden. You can still open, read, print and share all of it.
What changes is that only one profile keeps working on new things at a time. You will see a Read-only badge on the others in the patient picker, and they stay selectable, because reading them is the whole point.
On a read-only profile you can still
- Open and read everything: records, past research, reports, monitoring history
- Share or download a report, including one you have already sent to a doctor
- Delete records you no longer want
- Edit the profile
What is paused
- Asking new questions, including replies to research you already started
- Uploading records and starting imports
- Connecting a health system, and manual syncs
- Automatic record syncing and new-record alerts
- Literature alerts for that person
Bringing a profile back
Upgrading to Family turns them all back on at once, straight away, with nothing lost.
Personal will not bring them back, because like Starter it covers one profile.
When syncing starts again it picks up from that moment. We do not go back and fill in the alerts from while it was paused, so it is worth opening the profile and reading what arrived since.
If you are not going to upgrade
That is a fine place to be, and it is a supported way to use Inciteful Med. Your records stay yours and stay readable. You can still ask general health questions any time. You can still show a doctor anything you have already researched, and every share link you have sent still works.
One detail worth knowing
Deleting your active profile will not bring a read-only one back. Upgrading to Family is what brings them back.
